See our monthly calendar with full event details below.In addition to the annual Halloween Parade, the Krewe of Boo hosts three events throughout the year- The Soiree’, The Open House, and the Halloween Costume Expose’. Both the Soiree’ and the Open House are member-only events with special invitations to select patrons, our sponsors, and New Orleans police, fire, and EMS employees. Yet, everyone is invited to attend the Halloween Costume Expose’! Following the Parade on Halloween Night, this event promises to excite the senses! Tickets to this event are $100 dollars for all guests, member and nonmember.
The Soiree’
August 30th, 2008
Due to the trajectory of Hurricane Gustav, the August 30th Soiree’ has been postponed and is tentatively rescheduled for Saturday, September 13th. Please stay posted for further details regarding the confirmation of this date.
The Soiree', our black tie event for members, patrons, and employees of New Orleans police, fire, and EMS departments, officially kicks off our "Halloween Season"! Held this year at Mardi Gras World, this event will begin at 8 o'clock pm with Bag of Donuts entertaining the crowd. There will also be a silent auction of nearly 40 exciting items including the positions of our first annual Royal Court! Court positions are open to non-members. For those Halloween revelers interested in experiencing a once in a lifetime opportunity as part of the inaugural Krewe of Boo Royal Court, please attend this event. Admission for non-members is $50 and can be paid at the door. Easy, all you can drink wristbands are also be available for your convenience and can be purchased prior to the event for $40. The Soiree’, our black tie event for members, patrons, and employees of New Orleans police, fire, and EMS departments, will officially kick off our “Halloween Season”! Held this year on Saturday August 30th, this event will debut our Vampire King Lestat, Voodoo Queen Marie Lavaux, and their royal court of Counts, Countesses, and Squires. October 11th, 2008
The Krewe of Boo will preview its beautiful floats to members on October 11th 2008. This day event is family oriented and the last member event before Halloween night. As the Krewe gears up for the parade, they mingle and finalize last minute details with their co-riders. Members are encouraged to bring family and friends to this festive event. Fair-like amenities will be provided including face painting for kids, games, hotdogs and hamburgers.

The Halloween Costume Expose’ is the Krewe of Boo’s annual Halloween celebration following the Parade! Held on October 31st, our Halloween-themed costume party unites imagination with alter-ego to produce a Halloween celebration yet to be seen. This black and orange extravaganza is outfitted in first-class décor, exquisite Mardi Gras World props, themed lighting, thousands of costumed patrons, and phenomenal entertainment! Guaranteed to impress even the most adept socialites, the Halloween Costume Expose’ is the Krewe of Boo’s most significant fundraising event.
Our first year, we had over a 1000 guests throughout the night! With the addition of our Parade this year, we know we’ll exceed this number exponentially! Help us achieve our goal by attending this year’s event. Not only is this one of the best parties in New Orleans, it’s a benefit party for New Orleans’ finest. Tickets are $100 per person and private tables are available for purchase as well. Food, drinks, and entertainment will be provided. Let’s get these deserving first responders back into a home!
